This is an exquisite and rare Darjeeling’s fresh herbaceous oolong tea 2025, made from old chinary clones at 5500 – 7000 feet of Gopaldhara Tea Estate. This is one of the finest quality first flush tea and these bushes are fresh out of hibernation from a prolonged winter. To make these kinds of teas we mostly preferred sun-drying and hand oxidation. So, the quantity of this type of rare lots is always very less.
The dried greenish leaves are brewed into a yellow cup that gives an amazingly clean cup with fresh spring flavour. You can quickly feel the taste was super floral and creamy with notes of orchids in each sip. This rare herbaceous oolong tea 2026 is slightly vegetal but has sweet texture and almost herbaceous with no bitterness or astringency at all. The mouth feel was somewhat thick with a clean and refreshing finish.
Use fresh, filtered water. Heat to 85–90°C — just below boiling.
Use 1 tsp (2–3 g) per 200 ml of water. Adjust to taste.
Pour water over leaves and steep for 2–3 minutes.
